John F. McCaul

John F. McCaul is a trial lawyer who provides high quality representation and well-counseled advice to those who face serious and complex criminal charges in Pennsylvania’s state and federal courts. John began his career as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases, leading long-term investigations into both white-collar theft and unsolved violent crimes, and supervising the Grand Jury. Before ending his tenure as a prosecutor, John was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) with the United States Attorney’s Office. John now uses all of this inside knowledge and experience as a former prosecutor to fight for his clients, routinely obtaining favorable outcomes in courtrooms throughout the Philadelphia area.

John is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is an active member in the Philadelphia Bar Association, Montgomery Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, PACDL, and NACDL. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Montgomery Bar Association.
