A workers’ compensation attorney in eastern Pennsylvania, Joseph C. Huttemann is partner at Martin Law LLC. At Bucknell University in 1988, Mr. Huttemann earned a Bachelor of Arts. He then attended The Dickinson School of Law, where in 1992 he obtained a Juris Doctor and is now admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. Certified as a specialist in Veterans’ Benefits, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court authorized him as a certified specialist in Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law within the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
A former attorney for employers and insurance carriers, he brings insight into both sides of the case. Mr. Huttemann has been actively involved in writing the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act and authored a guide for employers on the topic. The legal intelligencer also regularly published his articles, and he was featured at the continuing legal education course as a panelist. His passion for helping others shines through in his work on the board of directors of a charitably funded, nonprofit Hospice Care Group, Serenity House.

- Martin Law partner Joseph Huttemann just recently secured a $3.2 million worker’s compensation settlement for his client. The $3,200,000 settlement was obtained for a 21 year old automotive technician, who became a paraplegic after suffering a cervical fracture and arterial dissection from a car accident on his way to a training seminar. The insurance carrier had initially denied the client’s workers’ compensation claim in November 2016 based upon a course & scope of employment defense. After attorney Huttemann presented Mr. Wruble’s case, the carrier agreed to mediate, leading to this resolution. The settlement funds will be immediately utilized by Mr. Wruble to obtain stem cell therapy for his spinal cord injuries. Attorney Huttemann will consider this case a true success when his client regains use of his legs through the cutting- edge rehabilitation program in which he can now enroll. , 2017
