Lori A. Frio-Walker

Lori A. Frio-Walker, Esq., founder of Family Law Corp., P.C., devotes her practice primarily to all aspects of family and matrimonial law matters. 

Lori's family law experience includes all aspects of divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, drafting of pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and divorce and custody mediation.  Lori’s exceptional legal advocacy has earned her the recognition of her peers in prestigious publications and honors including: Top 10 Female Family Lawyers under 40 in the State of Pennsylvania, the Avvo “Superb” Rating, getting named as a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Attorney in the State of Pennsylvania and being named 10 Best in Client Satisfaction among Family Law Attorneys. 

Additionally, Lori has been appointed as a Council Member to the American Bar Association, Family Law Section, where she represents the collective interests for hundreds of Young Family Law Attorneys in the United States and is responsible for oversight, planning, meeting facilitation, organizing and drafting content for national legal programming, and providing legal updates in family law to the association.  Lori is also a Chair to the American Bar Association Law Practice Management and Technology Committee, wherein she creates teleconferences and CLEs on relevant topics on Law Practice Management utilizing the latest technology tips.

EDUCATION & COURT ADMISSIONS

Lori received her J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law and was the Editor-in-Chief of its Women's Law Forum and Associate Editor of its Journal of Catholic Social Thought.  During law school, Lori interned for the Honorable Judge Paul Panepinto, where she took part in research for complex mass tort litigation cases. Additionally, she worked at the Farm Worker Legal Aid Clinic at Villanova University School of Law, where she successfully represented clients with their workers’ compensation claims for work-based injuries, wage claims, family law and immigration.

Prior to attending law school, Lori received her M.B.A. in Management and B.S. degree in Marketing from Saint Joseph's University.  She also received her Board Certified Coaching Certification in the designation areas of Executive, Corporate, Business and Career Coaching.  Lori is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, wherein she received education and her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with individuals, families, couples and groups.  

Lori is trained and certified in the divorce and custody mediation process. She currently serves as a mediator for the Chester County Court and Montgomery County Court custody mediation program.  Lori is a member in good standing of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bar and is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  In addition, Lori is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her Master's Degree at the University of Pennsylvania to gain skills to further help individuals, couples and families going through divorce and custody disputes. 

EXPERIENCE

Lori gained extensive experience as a family law attorney at Petrelli Law, P.C. in Philadelphia, where she worked on all family law matters, including divorce, custody, spousal support, child support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Prior to joining Petrelli Law, Lori worked in the area of collaborative and amicable divorce.  Lori began her professional career as an associate attorney at a large regional firm in Philadelphia, Dilworth Paxson, LLP.  She started her time there as a summer associate attorney working on matters pertaining to real estate law, media law, corporate and business governance and business formation and dissolution. As an associate attorney, Lori worked in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Department, where she defended trade creditors in aspects of complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.  Lori soon realized that her passion in law was to advocate for those with family law matters, and she brings her corporate background and big law experience into her family law practice.

During her free time, Lori serves as Council Member At-Large to the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.  Prior to being appointed to this role, Lori served two consecutive years as YLD Council Liaison of the Family Law Section and Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA), Young Lawyer's Committee of the Family Law Section and Co-Chair of the YLD Family Law Committee.  Prior to being appointed to these roles, Lori served two consecutive years as Co-Chair of the YLD, ABA, Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Committee.  She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honors Society, the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Chester and Montgomery County Bar Associations, Delta Sigma Pi Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity and the Justinian Legal Society.
