Michael F. Barrett is widely considered as one of Pennsylvania's leading medical malpractice attorneys. A member of The Law Firm of Saltz Mongeluzzi Barrett & Bendesky PC and based in Philadelphia, he has been instrumental in obtaining numerous sizable settlements and jury awards for his clients throughout the state as well as in New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. In one representative action, he was co-lead counsel in a lawsuit based on a failure to make a timely diagnosis of breast cancer that led to a jury award in excess of $6.6 million. In another, Mr. Barrett secured $15 million for a client whose failed abortion led to her child's deformities.

He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. A past president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, Mr. Barrett has also served on the board of trustees of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation.
