Sarah Weiss

A partner at Weiss & Paarz Medical Malpractice Attorneys in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sarah Weiss has built a distinguished career representing clients in medical malpractice matters. Licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, she brings a rare combination of scientific insight and legal rigor to every case she handles.

Her path to law was anything but conventional. Ms. Weiss graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors while majoring in psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience and a minor in mind-brain studies. Rather than heading directly to law school, she spent time managing a cognitive neuroscience research lab focused on attention and cognition, an experience that would later inform her ability to dissect complex medical evidence.

At Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey School of Law, Camden, Ms. Weiss distinguished herself academically, completing her degree in just two years on a full academic merit scholarship. She received the First Year Writing Award, served as a teaching assistant in both contracts and legal writing, and represented Rutgers in a national baseball arbitration competition. Her scholarly work on New Jersey's legal duties amid climate change was selected for publication by the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. She graduated magna cum laude and earned Order of the Coif recognition, placing her among the top ten percent of her class.

Ms. Weiss's professional affiliations include the New Jersey Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. She was also invited to join the National Trial Lawyers' Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania.
