In 42 years as an attorney at The Beasley Firm, LLC, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Scott A. Bennett has assisted victims of accidents and their family members in filing claims, seeking settlements and suing negligent parties. As an experienced trial lawyer, he understands how to best represent his clients in court to achieve the maximum compensation to which they are entitled by law, and he aggressively pursues justice for those he represents.
The cause of a motor vehicle accident may be a reckless or careless driver. However, Mr. Bennett is aware that factors such as road conditions and roadway design can also contribute to serious crashes. He does not take cases at face value, but performs a thorough investigation of the circumstances, consulting with experts to construct an accurate picture of the situation. With this approach, he has frequently been able to achieve large awards to compensate for his clients’ pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life and financial damages.
Scott has also successfully prosecuted a number of liquor liability cases obtaining substantial settlements and verdicts for victims of drunk drivers. According to Scott, there really are not any small dram shop cases.
Mr. Bennett has taught a number of Continuing Legal Education courses for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, PA. The courses he teaches are on the subject of Premises Liability, with the focus on Slip, Trip and Fall cases. Mr. Bennett's involvement include assisting in developing the Course and preparing a portion of the course book. He has also taught a Pennsylvania Bar Institute Seminar on Planes, Trains and Buses.
Mr. Bennett recently served a term in the Pennsylvania House of Delegates which is the body charged with setting the policy of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
Mr. Bennett is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, where membership is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each juridiction. Fellows are recommended by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.
After earning his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Mr. Bennett literally helped write the book on product liability, along with James Beasley.
