Sidney L. Gold

The founding partner at The Gold Law Firm, P.C., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sidney L. Gold is a dedicated employment law attorney. With over 5 decades of experience in the legal profession, he handles all aspects of employment law, comprising whistleblower, sexual harassment and discrimination matters. He represents both employers and employees around Philadelphia, including claims under federal and state anti-discrimination laws and federal civil rights laws. 

After gaining his bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor from Temple University in 1975, Mr. Gold earned his license to practice law in Pennsylvania in the same year. He additionally holds a license to practice in New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Circuits. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Gold has accumulated extensive experience in representing both private and public sector employees in employment and civil rights litigation. Most notably, he settled the class action against Owens-Illinois, a decade-long dispute, for $9.5 million. He also served as lead counsel for the nationwide class action lawsuit against retail giant Abercrombie & Fitch and received $50 million in settlements. 

In the legal community, Mr. Gold has held leadership positions within various associations, including serving as the vice chair for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Committee.
