Attorney Profile

The co-founder of DiMuzio Zerounian, LLC, Vazken A.E. Zerounian divides his practice between criminal defense representation and plaintiff's personal injury.  He also assists people whose civil rights have been violated in cases involving false arrest or other forms of law enforcement misconduct. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Zerounian's clients come from throughout the greater metropolitan area.

In his criminal defense practice, Mr. Zerounian represents people who have been charged by the state with misdemeanors or felonies. The range of cases that he has worked on extends to driving under the influence, fraud, and other white collar crimes, sex offenses, burglary, assault and battery, juvenile offenses, and drug possession and distribution. Mr. Zerounian handles personal injury matters that have arisen primarily out of motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.

A Philadelphia native, Mr. Zerounian attended Ursinus College, where he majored in politics and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. After graduation, he worked in the hospitality industry for several years until he decided that he wanted to become an attorney. Accordingly, Mr. Zerounian enrolled at Widener University Delaware Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2010. While in law school, he served internships with the First Judicial District, City of Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney, and the Montgomery County Office of the District Attorney.  He was also a volunteer attorney at the Federal Community Defender Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and he was named to the Order of Barristers.

Mr. Zerounian subsequently received an LL.M. in criminal trial advocacy from California Western School of Law. After graduation, he spent several years as an assistant public defender with the Defender Association of Philadelphia before co-founding his current firm. Admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts, as well as the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Federal Court, he is a member of The Philadelphia Criminal Law American Inn of Court.
