Alfred G. Yates, Jr.

The founder of his eponymous law firm, Alfred G. Yates, Jr. focuses his practice on individual and class-action lawsuits involving shareholders, consumer rights, mass torts, antitrust, ERISA and the Fair Labor Standards Act. From the firm's office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he represents plaintiffs throughout the country. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania since 1973, Mr. Yates is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.  Attorney Yates began law school at the University of Pittsburgh after serving on active in the US Army from 1968 to 1970 when he was awarded the Department of Defense Joint Service Commendation Medal.

A Pennsylvania native, Mr. Yates attended the College of William and Mary as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. After serving his country as a member of the U.S. Army for two years, he enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and in 1973, he was awarded his Juris Doctor. Mr. Yates was a trust officer at a Pittsburgh bank before entering private practice.
