Cynthia C. Berger

Cynthia C. Berger graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 and earned her Juris Doctor there in 1975. She began her career as a staff attorney for the Judges at the Pittsburgh Social Security Office of Hearing and Appeals before becoming a founding partner of Berger and Green, P.C., where she spent decades representing disabled individuals in Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims.

Throughout her career, Attorney Berger assessed more than 50,000 disability claims and became widely recognized for her knowledge of Social Security disability law. She frequently lectured for organizations such as NOSSCR, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the National Business Institute, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.

For more than 40 years, she built a respected reputation for guiding people through the challenges of the disability process and was often sought out by other attorneys for her insight. She was licensed in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts, any Social Security Court nationwide, and the United States Supreme Court. She also served as Chairperson of the ACBA Social Security Practitioners Committee and was a Fellow of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.

A past president of NOSSCR, Attorney Berger worked with the Social Security Administration and Congress to address issues impacting claimants. She is recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and a Martindale-Hubbell AV-rated attorney.
