Edward Hirshberg

Edward Hirshberg is a partner and tax attorney at Ryan Law, concentrating on tax law and civil litigation. His offices are spread across the cities of major states in the U.S. and Canada – Texas, Illinois, Virginia, Colorado, New York and Pennsylvania, and Ontario and Saskatchewan – where his services are available.

With real estate, business, consumer laws and property tax as the core practice areas, Mr. Hirshberg has extensive experience working on real estate assessment disputes and tax controversies. Graduating cum laude from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, he received his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2012. 

Mr. Hirshberg has litigated over $400 million worth of properties, representing both owners and the taxing bodies. Winning several high-profile cases with millions of dollars at stake, he is described by his colleagues as a skilled and dedicated attorney. He also won the tax immunity case raised by the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. 

Advocating for several federal, state and local tax issues, Mr. Hirshberg also represents assessment value litigation of various organizations, shopping malls, entertainment centers, hospitals, hotels, Walgreens and many more.

Mr. Hirshberg is a knowledgeable attorney who understands the tax law systems of the U.S. and Canada thoroughly. He is admitted to practice in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
