Elisabeth W. Molnar

A partner at Pollock Begg, attorney Elisabeth W. Molnar is passionate about assisting families through challenging times of change. With over two decades of experience handling a spectrum of family law cases, she relishes complicated custody matters, including cases involving expert testimony from psychologists and social workers. 

Ms. Molnar offers clients a range of representation alternatives tailored to their individual requirements and circumstances by combining her experience in civil litigation with certification in collaborative law. During her time as a civil litigation attorney, she honed her skills and discovered joy in presiding over fruitful cross-examinations. 

In 2004, Ms. Molnar joined a well-known family law firm after realizing that family law cases were where her passion lay. For the next 20 years, she concentrated solely on family law matters, exploring alternative dispute resolution through her collaborative legal training. She was promoted to shareholder in 2017 after being named a partner in 2010 for her active engagement in recruiting, mentoring and training young associates.

Ms. Molnar also has extensive experience assisting doctors, business owners and other legal professionals with their divorce cases, and she has a gift for simplifying knotty questions of business/asset valuation.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in business administration at Duquesne University in 2001, Ms. Molnar secured her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2003. She then completed her collaborative law certification at the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. 

Ms. Molnar is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) – Family Law Section and the Women’s Bar Association. She is the former chair of ACBA and the co-chair of its Children’s Issues Subcommittee. She is also among the board of directors of Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership.
