Harry S. Cohen

As the founder of Harry S. Cohen & Associates, P.C., located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Harry S. Cohen focuses his practice on medical malpractice litigation. Representing plaintiffs throughout the western, northern and central parts of the state as well as those in Ohio, and West Virginia, he has been able to obtain significant settlements and jury awards in cases involving birth injuries, delayed or erroneous diagnoses, surgical errors, improper prescribing of medication and other forms of medical professional negligence.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University in 1975, Mr. Cohen pursued his legal education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1979. After graduation, he was an attorney with a firm that provided defense counsel to physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice lawsuits until 1986, when he started his own firm and shifted his focus to representing plaintiffs.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia, Mr. Cohen is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. Highly regarded by his fellow professionals for his track record and superb ethics, Mr. Cohen has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.
