During a legal career that has spanned more than four decades, Mr. Logan has represented both employers and workers in a number of landmark employment law cases. In 1988, he argued successfully before the U.S. Supreme Court in an age discrimination case in which he was supported and assisted by the EEOC, the U.S. Justice Department and the NAACP and opposed by a former United States Solicitor General.

    Mr. Logan is licensed to practice law before the state courts of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in 1967 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1970. Mr. Logan has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Individual Employment Rights, and he is a popular speaker and panelist at events organized by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute as part of their continuing legal education programs.

    In addition to being a member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the bar of the Supreme Court of South Carolina and the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he has served as chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section, Mr. Logan is the co-founder of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He has also addressed the Council for Education in Management and made presentations to graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University, Duquesne University School of Law and the University of Pittsburgh.
