Jennifer Modell

Jennifer Modell brings extensive experience in Social Security disability law to Berger and Green, where she is dedicated to helping clients secure the benefits they need.

A graduate of the University of Chicago and Northwestern University School of Law, Ms. Modell began her legal career as a public defender in New York City, gaining invaluable courtroom experience advocating for those in need. Her practice later expanded to include civil rights and immigration law, reflecting her deep commitment to justice.

In 2007, she moved to Pittsburgh and joined Berger and Green, developing a strong passion for assisting individuals navigating the Social Security disability process. Over the years, she took on leadership roles, managing teams of attorneys and overseeing Social Security disability projects at firms including Caroselli Beachler, Ruder Law, and Neighborhood Legal Services. In 2024, she returned to Berger and Green, where she continues to provide compassionate, knowledgeable representation to those seeking disability benefits.

Ms. Modell is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Social Security Practitioners Committee and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). Beyond her legal work, she is dedicated to supporting the disability community, serving on the boards of Autism Connection of Pennsylvania and Achieva.

Recognized as a Super Lawyer in Social Security Disability Law from 2014 to 2016, Ms. Modell is known for her unwavering dedication to her clients, guiding them through complex legal challenges with skill and empathy.
