John A. Caputo is an accomplished personal injury lawyer and the founder of his own law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He embraces the belief that "nothing is accomplished well without passion.” He has demonstrated that passion time and time again on behalf of his clients and has achieved a large number of substantial verdicts and settlements as a result. These include a settlement of $16 million for a client who suffered brain damage as the result of medical testing, and a verdict award of $5 million for a client who was paralyzed and later died after an accident involving a drunk driver who had been negligently served alcohol at a tavern.
Mr. Caputo was admitted to practice in 1972 and is certified by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He is an invited fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the National Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Caputo has also been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America publication for personal injury law since 1995 and in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers listings since 2004. He holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
*AV Preeminent and BV Distinguished are certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
