Mr. Perry has earned a reputation as a champion of victim’s rights and his battle with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare over a recipient’s obligation to repay benefits was named the 2008 case of the year in the State of Pennsylvania.  In 2013, Mr. Perry’s battle with an ERISA Plan culminated in a nationally monitored United States Supreme Court decision clarifying victims’ ERISA repayment obligations.  In 2015, Mr. Perry obtained a $32,000,000, the largest ever in Allegheny County for the death of a child.  Mr. Perry's trial skills and results have earned him national recognition in numerous editions of Marquis Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who in the World.    In 2005 through 2016 he was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, an honor awarded to the top 5 per cent of the attorneys in Pennsylvania.  In 2008 through 2016, he was named one of  Pittsburgh's Top 50 Super Lawyers and a Top 100 in Pennsylvania.  Highlt regarded by his peers, for many years, Mr. Perry has been included in The Best Lawyers in America* in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury.   Mr. Perry was designated 2013 Pittsburgh Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs "Lawyer of the Year" by the Best Lawyers' in America.  In 2015, he was designated Pittsburgh Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year.   In 2008, he was honored with The Duquesne University School of Law's Outstanding Achievement Award.  In 2009, Mr. Perry was honored with Duquesne University's prestigious Mind, Heart & Spirit award.   In 2012, Mr. Perry was honored with the Service to Society Award for career achievement and service from The Pennsylvania State University.   Mr. Perry's intellect and ethics earned him Martindale Hubbell's prestigious AV rating.**  Mr. Perry maintains an active litigation practice and has been recognized for numerous multi-million dollar verdicts. 

After graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in 1987, Mr. Perry earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Duquesne University School of Law in 1991. While in law school, he served as an editor for the Duquesne Law Review and was awarded the Tom and Rose Brennan McManus Scholarship. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Mr. Perry is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 3rd, 6th, 7th and Federal Circuits.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Perry teaches litigation as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He also frequently lectures and develops course materials on medical malpractice and personal injury law. A member of several professional organizations, Mr. Perry belongs to the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is also the co-founder of the Pennies From Heaven Keeping Families Together Fund, which provides assistance to parents in financial need so that they can stay with their sick children during long hospital stays.
