Details
A native of Western Pennsylvania, Paul was born and raised in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh. He received both his college degree and his law degree from Duquesne University. Paul was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar and U.S. District Court, Western District of Pennsylvania in 1990. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Allegheny District Attorney’s Office.
After gaining valuable trial experience, Paul left the DA's Office to pursue private practice, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense cases. Before starting Giuffre Law, Paul was a founding member of a Downtown Pittsburgh firm, which concentrated on plaintiffs' medical malpractice matters and catastrophic injury cases. He has litigated cases in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Erie, Fayette, Mercer, Washington, Westmoreland, and Venango counties.
Paul chose to move his primary office to suburban Pittsburgh, in his hometown, and to broaden his practice. Paul continues to focus on representing people seriously injured by others, but also uses his extensive trial experience to help people in need of quality, legal representation in a wide range of personal injury matters, select criminal defense cases, and general litigation matters. His current practice allows him to take a hands-on approach to every aspect of each case. Paul believes this approach allows him to better know his clients and; therefore, understand and zealously advocate for their needs.
Paul is a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. Paul is also an invited member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
He is an active member of his parish and community. Paul was a founding member of a local, volunteer ambulance service and presently serves on a number of committees and boards, including acting as a member of the distribution committee of the Clarence S. & Margaret F. Fugh Foundation, which awards scholarships to local students and grants to civic, charitable, and religious organizations. Outside interests are focused on his family with his wife and their daughters.
