Russell Turner

Russell Turner is a dedicated attorney based at Berger and Green, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he leverages his extensive legal knowledge and passion for social justice to advocate for those in need. Born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, his legal career is fueled by a deep-rooted commitment to justice and a desire to assist the underprivileged. He takes on clients from regions across the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, Altoona, Erie and Johnstown, Pennsylvania, seeking resolution to matters related to civil rights litigation and Social Security Disability rights.

Mr. Turner embarked on his legal journey at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where he completed his bachelor's degree in political science in 2014. He furthered his education at Saint Francis University, earning a paralegal certificate in 2015, which paved the way for his future achievements in the legal arena.

In 2019, Mr. Turner graduated with a Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. While in law school, he was actively involved in the Civil Rights Clinic, focusing on expungements and pardons. He was also recognized for his dedication to community service with a Summer Fellowship from the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Center in 2018.

Upon gaining admission to the bar, Mr. Turner began his professional career at a law firm, where he developed his litigation skills across various domains. His drive to aid those in distress led him to Pittsburgh’s Neighborhood Legal Services in 2021, where he focused on Social Security Disability law, helping indigent clients secure SSDI/SSI benefits.

Mr. Turner is deeply committed to community service and legal advocacy. He is an active member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), where he contributes to various initiatives aimed at improving legal access and justice.
