James T. Tallman

Working from his firm at JTT Law LLC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, James T. Tallman is a dedicated attorney serving clients in matters of personal injury, civil rights and construction litigation. Having worked in both state and federal courts for almost 30 years, he brings a wealth of legal experience to the table. Extending his practice to individuals across Pennsylvania, he handles cases involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile accidents and workplace accidents, among others.

In addition to his dedicated personal injury practice, Mr. Tallman represents clients in matters of wrongful arrest and police misconduct, helping clients fight against systemic abuse and protecting their rights. He also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, business torts, construction litigation and mechanics’ lien matters. Through his vast background and deep knowledge of the law, he has recovered over $23 million for his personal injury and civil rights clients.

Completing his undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Tallman went on to receive his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School. While at law school, he actively served as the editor of the Widener Law Review. In 1997, he gained admission to practice law in Pennsylvania and is further licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

An active member in the legal community, Mr. Tallman served as the president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and also worked on the association’s board. He additionally serves on the board of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and on the Civil Rules Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
