He has defended clients in administrative actions before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
A 1993 B.A. graduate of Middlebury College, Mr. Muller completed his Master of Arts degree in religious studies at Boston University in 1997. Later in 2007, he obtained a doctorate in law with dean’s list honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, where he was the article and notes editor of the First Amendment Law Review and a member of the National Trial Team. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Rhode Island (2007), Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Before attending law school, Mr. Muller worked as a television news reporter and documentary director for PBS and CBS stations. His talents were recognized with a regional Emmy Award for his feature-length documentary "North Carolina's Dependence on Tobacco." He then had the privilege of serving at a prominent New England law firm, where he offered top-notch litigation and employment law services to both local businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
For five consecutive years, the Rhode Island Bar Association has appointed Mr. Muller as the esteemed chairman of its Employment Law Committee. Additionally, Mr. Muller has contributed to the legal community by authoring a chapter in the highly respected publication, “A Practical Guide to Employment Law in Rhode Island.”
