Mark D. Tourgee is one of the founding partners of Inman & Tourgee, which he opened in 1990. Mr. Tourgee graduated from the University of Rhode Island. He then enrolled in Oklahoma City University Law School and received his Juris Doctor in 1985. Mr. Tourgee is registered in Rhode Island, the Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the District of Oklahoma, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
Mr. Tourgee has spent the last 40 years active in the legal community of Rhode Island. Over the past four decades, Mr. Tourgee has taken on thousands of cases, with some ending in settlements and others going all the way to arbitration, mediation, and/or trial. Mr. Tourgee has intimate knowledge of how the court system works because of his vast experience combined with the practice areas he handles. His firm is full-service to best serve the people of Rhode Island. As a result, he provides his clients with invaluable guidance during their cases. Even more, Mr. Tourgee is incredibly involved in his communities generally. He was on the West Greenwich Town Council for 20 years, with the last 10 years serving as the Town Council President. He also served on the West Greenwich Land Trust Board of Trustees as well as the West Greenwich Louttit Library Board of Trustees for 7 years. Mr. Tourgee has been on the Centerville Bank Board of Incorporators for 25 years. Mr. Tourgee has been a member of the Exeter Grange for 29 years, and he is currently the Grange Master. He is also a full member of the Rhode Island Farm Bureau. He coached both Exeter-West Greenwich Competitive Girls Soccer and Little League.
Furthermore, Mr. Tourgee is legal counsel for both the Washington County Fair and Rhode Island State Grange. He served as the Town Solicitor for the Town of Foster for 8 years. Additionally, he performs volunteer legal services for Exeter-West Greenwich Youth Soccer, Exeter-West Greenwich Little League, and the Exeter Grange.
Lastly, Mr. Tourgee has earned many community services awards, including from the Coventry Soccer Association, Exeter Grange #12, Town of West Greenwich, and Pawtuxet Rotary Club.
