Brett Beaubien

Brett Beaubien, the driving force behind The Law Office of Brett V. Beaubien, located in Providence, Rhode Island, is an attorney licensed to practice in both state and federal courts across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. His legal practice encompasses criminal defense, DUI/DWI cases, appeals, post-conviction relief, currency seizures by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, traffic court matters, and driver's license suspensions. He is unwavering in defending his clients’ constitutional rights and tirelessly works to secure the most favorable outcomes in every case.

Passionate about the pursuit of truth and justice, Mr. Beaubien approaches each case with the same meticulous preparation as if it were headed for trial. He holds admissions to the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit.

A proud alumnus of The University of Rhode Island, College of Business (2005), Mr. Beaubien honed his legal acumen at Roger Williams University School of Law. There, he distinguished himself in trial and appellate litigation, earning top accolades for his prowess in criminal litigation, appellate writing, and advocacy. 

During his second year, Mr. Beaubien clinched victory in his law school's moot court showdown, eloquently presenting his case to the Supreme Court of Rhode Island. He also enriched the school's law review with his contributions and served as student chair of the student disciplinary tribunal, overseeing the prosecution of student misconduct cases.

Throughout his law school summers, Mr. Beaubien gained invaluable experience with the U.S. Military. In 2014, he served as a legal intern at the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies at Naval Station Newport, supporting the U.S. Department of Defense's international law mission. The following year, he joined the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps in Sicily, Italy, as a legal intern. He culminated his law school journey as a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, where he defended indigent clients before the Rhode Island District Court and the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal.

Committed to community service, Mr. Beaubien volunteers as a board member for the Rhode Island Legal Education Foundation. Additionally, he imparts his knowledge as an adjunct law professor at Roger Williams University School of Law, where he teaches courses in criminal litigation, including drafting and advocacy, as well as criminal procedure, covering adjudication and criminal law.
