Attorney Profile

Christine Clemens has a long history of assisting those in need. As an attorney at Finkelstein & Partners, LLP, she represents clients throughout New York and across the country, who are facing issues obtaining benefits from the Veterans Administration (VA). The outstanding work she has done to serve others extends well beyond her practice.

In 2003, Ms. Clemens received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then earned a Master of Public Policy in 2008 from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a Juris Doctor that same year from The University of Michigan Law School.

Immediately after law school, Ms. Clemens cemented her passion for helping others. In the early part of her career, her accomplishments included launching a medical-legal partnership to address the legal and medical needs of pregnant women and mothers. She also started and ran a number of legal clinics for homeless individuals, including veterans. She advocated on behalf of some of the area’s most vulnerable people to Los Angeles County officials, and sought to connect the homeless and hungry with the resources they need.

Moving across the country to New York, Ms. Clemens has continued her work with veterans and their families. She represents disabled Veterans and their family members in their appeals for disability benefits before the VA. She remains committed to performing pro bono work and has taken on pro bono cases with both local and national organizations. Recently, Christine was named the 2016 National Organization of Veterans Advocates-Center for Veterans Advancement pro bono advocate of the year. She is a member of the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA), the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association Committee on Veterans.

Ms. Clemens is admitted to practice in New York and California, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and is accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She holds an Avvo “Excellent” rating.
