J. Olin McDougall II is a seasoned personal injury attorney and the proprietor of McDougall Law Firm, LLC, in Beaufort, South Carolina. He has diligently served clients across South Carolina, particularly within the 14th Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Allendale, Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties. His primary service locations include Beaufort, Bluffton, Hardeeville, Hilton Head Island and Walterboro.

A native of South Carolina, Mr. McDougall graduated with a B.A. degree in English from Wake Forest University in 1991 and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 1994. Immediately following his graduation, he was licensed to practice in South Carolina and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

In the initial stages of his career, Mr. McDougall clerked for the South Carolina Judicial Branch and a private law firm concentrating on family law. He founded McDougall Law Firm, LLC, in 2007. Beyond his legal acumen, he is affiliated with several prestigious legal organizations, including the Beaufort County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. 

Committed to community service, Mr. McDougall is also a member of the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Additionally, he has been rated Distinguished* through Martindale-Hubbell and maintains a “Superb” rating on Avvo.
