Mark S. Berglind

A partner at Vaux Marscher Berglind, PA, Mark S. Berglind divides his practice between workers' compensation matters and personal injury and wrongful death. Based in the firm's office in Bluffton, South Carolina, his client base comes from Beaufort County, Jasper County, and other parts of the Lowcountry.

In his workers' compensation practice, Mr. Berglind assists people who have been injured on the job and who are seeking their rightful benefits under their employer's insurance coverage. This includes helping them to prepare their claims and ensuring that they are filed within the prescribed time period. Mr. Berglind also provides advocacy at subsequent hearings in the event that a claim is disputed or denied. In the personal injury and wrongful death area, he represents people who have suffered economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence of other parties. The types of cases that Mr. Berglind has handled have arisen out of premises liability and motor vehicle accidents. He has experience with other civil litigation matters as well.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Berglind attended Clemson University, where he majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2002. Remaining in the state, he pursued his legal education at the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2006. Mr. Berglind joined Vaux Marscher Berglind, PA, in 2008. Admitted to practice in South Carolina, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
