Alex B. Cash

A senior partner at Rosen Hagood, Alex Cash is an attorney with over three decades of experience helping clients with family law and divorce. He understands that the end of a marriage is one of the most emotionally demanding situations in an individual’s life. He handles almost all aspects of family law through his practice, including child custody, prenuptial agreements, alimony and spousal support, modification of agreements and termination of parental rights.

Known for his interpersonal skills, Mr. Cash has earned a reputation for seamlessly handling cases of varying intensity levels over his long career. His primary goal when he takes up a case is to grasp his clients’ expectations and arrive at a solution well-suited to their needs as quickly as possible. While many cases are settled through mediation or other alternative dispute resolution methods, some complex ones require litigation and a trial, and his extensive courtroom experience is invaluable in these situations.

Mr. Cash is highly active in the state’s legal community and has previously served as the president of the South Carolina Association for Justice for a year. Currently, he holds memberships in several organizations, such as the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, the South Carolina Bar, the American Association for Justice, The National Trial Lawyers and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.

Along with receiving a peer-review rating of AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Cash was recognized as a Legal Elite of the Lowcountry by the Charleston Business Magazine. He is also included in The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 list.

After graduating magna cum laude from Florida State University and receiving his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Cash obtained his master’s degree in music from Indiana University Bloomington in 1985. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1991. He was admitted to the bar the same year and has been working with Rosen Hagood ever since.
