After working as a public defender for almost three years and, subseuqently, an associate attorney for seven years at Savage Law Firm in Charleston, J. Scott Bischoff, II and Chris Adams formed the partnership of Adams & Bischoff, P.C.  Scott and Chris defend clients in criminal cases at all levels (federal, state, county, and municipal) throughout South Carolina, but primarily in the greater Charleston area.  Scott also dedicates his practice to representing those accused of DUI or Professional Licensing violations, as well as those who have been injured through the negligence of others.  

Scott received his Bachelor of Science in biology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. He then received his Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law in 2008, where he often serves as a guest lecturer on trial advocacy and criminal defense related matters. 

Scott is licensed to practice law in South Carolina. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, The South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National College for DUI Defense, the Charleston County Bar Association and The James L. Petigru Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He has an AV Preeminent* rating from his peers through Martindale-Hubbell, and he also holds a "Superb" rating from his peers through Avvo.  In 2016 Scott waw honored with the South Carolina Bar Association's Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award for his dedication to providing representation to guests of a local homeless shelter in Charleston, One80 Place.  In 2018 Scott was selected as member of the Charleston Regional Business Journal's "Forty under 40" and he was picked as a member of the South Carolina Bar's 2018 Leadership Academy.
