Julie Moore

Julie Moore is a trial lawyer and civil litigator. Based in Charleston, South Carolina, she handles personal injury and wrongful death litigation.  Julie represents people and families across South Carolina who have suffered harm and economic losses due to the negligence or recklessness of others. Many of the cases that she handles arise out of instances involving medical malpractice and defective products. Julie also represents policyholders whose claims have been denied in bad faith by their insurance companies, and she also has a background in cases involving fraud and breaches of fiduciary duty.

The successful results that Ms. Moore has been able to obtain for her clients both in the courtroom and at the negotiating table have earned her the high regard of her colleagues, as evidenced by her receipt of both an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Avvo and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. Admitted to practice before all South Carolina state courts, Ms. Moore is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

Ms. Moore majored in philosophy as an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, and she received a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. She pursued her legal education at the University of South Carolina School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2009. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Moore clerked for the Honorable John C. Few, then the Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. She is currently the chair of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the South Carolina Bar.
