Patrick C. Wooten

With extensive experience in the field of litigating civil matters, Patrick C. Wooten is a shareholder at Duffy & Young, LLC, located in Charleston, South Carolina. He uses his skills and experience to provide representation to clients facing legal issues in matters of:

Before joining Duffy & Young, LLC, Mr. Wooten was a partner at one of the largest law firms in the state, where he represented multinational corporations and individuals in a broad spectrum of commercial dispute cases. He worked closely with clients to help them resolve matters pertaining to trust and estate litigation, fiduciary litigation, probate litigation and more. 

Having graduated with his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, Mr. Wooten enrolled in the Duke University School of Law to complete his Juris Doctor in 2008. Securing his license to practice in South Carolina in the same year, he worked for more than two years as an associate at a private firm and spent about a year clerking at a district court. He has also studied at the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy, graduating from the Leadership Charleston program of The Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative.

Over the years, Mr. Wooten has obtained more than $50 million for his plaintiff clients, including settlements of more than $15 million. A testament to his skills and in recognition of his successful track record, he has been named to the list of “Forty Under 40” in Charleston and received a Leadership in Law award from the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly. In addition, he is a board member of the South Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and holds a membership in The James L. Petigru American Inn of Court.
