Jessica L. Gooding

Jessica L. Gooding is an attorney with Goings Law Firm, LLC, in Columbia, South Carolina. A native of the state, Ms. Gooding focuses her practice on personal injury law, and she has achieved notable success helping her clients recover the full amount of compensation they deserve for the catastrophic injuries and losses they suffered as the result of an accident caused by someone else's negligence or wrongdoing.  Ms. Gooding has represented clients in state and federal courts in South Carolina, as well as before numerous state agencies. Ms. Gooding graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2010. She then returned to her alma mater and attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2013, earning memberships in the Order of the Coif and Order of the Wig and Robe. During her time in law school, she served as symposium editor for the South Carolina Law Review, and she also served as law school ambassador and a peer mentor.

Regarded as a leader in her field, Ms. Gooding has published several articles and texts and conducted numerous lectures and seminars across her region on a variety of topics related to personal injury, legal ethics, workplace discrimination, trucking industry issues, and more.

She is active in the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar, and she serves as the chair of South Carolina Women Lawyers Association Membership Committee.
