Lucy Dinkins is an experienced litigator with over ten years of experience who represents victims who have been killed or suffered serious physical or emotional injuries as a result of the negligence of others. Lucy represents clients who have been killed or injured by medical malpractice, catastrophic car wrecks, the overservice of alcohol, dangerous and defective consumer products, and other wrongful actions of businesses or individuals. Additionally, Lucy has experience representing plaintiffs in cases involving shareholder disputes, trademark and copyright infringement, and whistleblowers in False Claims Act cases.
Lucy is passionate about obtaining the compensation her clients deserve and helping them during their difficult times. She routinely achieves successful outcomes in her cases and treats each of her clients with empathy and concern. There is nothing more rewarding for Lucy professionally than getting to know her clients and obtaining good results for them.
Lucy is a native of South Carolina, and she graduated summa cum laude with a music degree in piano performance from the University of South Carolina. Lucy earned her juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was an executive editor of the University of Virginia’s Journal of Law and Politics. After law school, Lucy briefly represented defendants at a law firm in Columbia, South Carolina, an experience which gives her unique insight into how defendants and their insurance companies evaluate and defend cases. Lucy then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary Geiger Lewis, United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina, before joining Wyche P.A. in Columbia, South Carolina. Lucy’s experience as a judicial law clerk, along with the breadth of her practice, gives her a valuable perspective and ability to achieve successful outcomes for her clients.
Lucy has consistently been recognized as a top attorney by her peers. She has been designated as one of the top personal injury attorneys in South Carolina by the South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s Personal Injury Power List, repeatedly named a “Rising Star” by South Carolina Super Lawyers, a Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” recipient, and a “Legal Elite” recipient by Columbia Business Magazine. Lucy is admitted to practice in South Carolina, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
