Margaret Bluestein

Margaret Bluestein stands as a beacon of dedication and compassion in the legal community of Columbia, South Carolina. Ms. Bluestein's journey in law began with a B.A. in political science from Furman University in 1990, followed by a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1993. Her legal acumen was quickly recognized, leading to her admission to practice in South Carolina the same year, and subsequently to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit in 1995. Her contributions to the field include co-authoring the sixth edition of "The Law of Workers’ Compensation Insurance in South Carolina," showcasing her depth of knowledge and commitment to advancing legal understanding.

A consummate professional through and through, Ms. Bluestein is not only a founder of a women-owned law firm but also a respected figure in various legal associations, including the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the Injured Workers’ Advocates. Her community involvement is extensive, having participated in Leadership Columbia Class of 1996, contributed to the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program, served on the South Carolina Bar Board of Governors and founded Chick Chat on UNeed2Know radio. Her leadership extends to roles such as former board chair of the Appleseed Legal Justice Center and member of the Homeless No More Executive Committee.
