Hailing from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Mermiges embarked on his academic journey at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he was an active officer of the Sigma Phi fraternity. His pursuit of law took him to the University of Miami School of Law in Florida, where he thrived academically, graduating in the top 5% of his class and contributing to the University of Miami Law Review. His exceptional performance earned him the esteemed "Order of the Coif" honor upon graduation.

Since stepping into the legal arena in 2010, Mr. Mermiges has been practicing in both South Carolina and Florida. In February 2015, he established the Law Office of Nick Mermiges, LLC, in Columbia, South Carolina.
