Stephen B. Samuels

The managing partner at Samuels Reynolds Law Firm, attorney Stephen B. Samuels bases his work on the principles of hard labor, dedication and service, representing individuals and families who have suffered catastrophic losses and death due to auto and truck accidents, slip-and-falls, nursing home abuse, dog bites and other accidents. Mr. Samuels has tried hundreds of workers’ compensation cases, concentrating on legally complex issues. He speaks several times a year at workers’ compensation seminars and conferences. He has efficiently handles personal injury cases, trying a number of cases before juries. He is an active appellate lawyer who has appeared before the South Carolina Supreme Court and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.

A native of Cape Town, Africa, Mr. Samuels earned a business management degree in 1983 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He worked in restaurants and HVAC for the following decade, where he learned the value of hard work and the realities of physical labor. In 1997, he secured his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina and his license to practice law in South Carolina the following year. While in law school, he was active in the South Carolina Law Review and the Order of Wig and Robe.

After finishing law school, Mr. Samuels became an attorney for a prominent firm in the Midlands. In 2008, he departed from his previous firm and established his own firm to be able to give his clients his undivided attention.
