Alton L. Martin, Jr.

Alton L. Martin Jr. has been practicing law for over 30 years, focusing on workers' compensation and serious personal injury cases throughout South Carolina. During the course of his career, he has handled hundreds of complex cases involving spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, chemical exposures and amputations, among others. In 2005, he co-founded Martin & Martin Attorneys, P.A., in Greenville, South Carolina, where he represents injured individuals.  Many of his clients are Spanish-speaking and he has bilingual paralegals.

Raised in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Mr. Martin is the youngest of four children. His father was an FBI agent, while his mother was a high school teacher. A 1987 graduate of The Citadel, he earned his law degree from Mercer University in 1991. Following his education, he served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1991 to 1994. 

Admitted to practice in in South Carolina and Georgia, Mr. Martin is also licensed to appear before the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Georgia, the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. He actively contributes to several associations, including:
