Joseph M. Ramseur, Jr.

Joseph M. Ramseur Jr. is a partner at Mitchell Ramseur, LLC, where his experience in family law has earned him widespread recognition. Since being admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1997, Mr. Ramseur has developed a focused practice that spans a comprehensive range of matrimonial and family law matters. His areas of concentration include divorce, child custody and visitation, alimony and child support, paternity issues, as well as drafting prenuptial and separation agreements.

Mr. Ramseur brings a wealth of experience to his practice, possessing significant skills in both trial and appellate courts. His commitment to finding balanced resolutions has also seen him excel in mediation and settlement negotiations. Securing a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University in 1994, Mr. Ramseur obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 1997. His legal experience is further endorsed by his admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Supreme Court in 2001.

Mr. Ramseur is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a member of both the South Carolina Bar and the Greenville County Bar Association. Additionally, he is actively involved with the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section and serves as a master at the Haynsworth-Perry American Inn of Court.
