M. Stokely Holder

M. Stokely Holder is one of the founding members of Holder Padgett Littlejohn + Prickett, LLC, in Greenville, South Carolina, where he represents clients across the state in construction law, business law, real estate disputes, collections, creditors’ rights and default services. Known for his steady judgment and strategic approach, he is widely regarded as a highly effective and trusted advocate for those he serves.

With a Bachelor of Science in finance and human resource management, Mr. Holder graduated from the University of South Carolina before completing his Juris Doctor at Regent University School of Law. His legal career began as a law clerk for a prominent judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit, followed by several years in private practice, including service as a partner in a Greenville civil litigation firm. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Mr. Holder’s professional involvement includes membership in the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law and Real Estate Sections, the American Bar Association’s corresponding sections and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association.

Recognition for his work includes an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, Life Member status in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and selection as a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He has also been named among the Legal Elite of the Upstate and Talk Magazine’s Top Lawyers. In addition, he co-authored the South Carolina Construction Law Handbook: Implied-in-Law Contracts.

A longtime supporter of community and conservation efforts, Mr. Holder serves on the board of directors for Holder Electric Supply, Inc., and has held leadership roles in several wildlife and sportfishing organizations. Through his family’s foundation, he actively supports charities, educators and student scholarships.
