Joel C. Hynes

Joel C. Hynes is an esteemed attorney based in Little River, South Carolina, who focuses on providing comprehensive legal services to help clients Probate their loved one’s Estates, as well as helping clients with their Estate Planning, including drafting and preparing Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney. During his time at Cooley Law School, where he graduated Cum Laude with his Juris Doctor, he also worked as a law clerk at one of the top Workers’ Compensation Defense firms in the country. Prior to law school Joel obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies and a minor in criminal justice from the Grand Valley State University.

In addition to his practice, Joel enjoys spending as much time with his wife, Jessica, and son, Joel, as he can. His favorite thing to do is take his wife and son (5 years old) with him to the golf course. Joel has loved the game of golf as long as he can remember, and he loved teaching his wife and now his son to play and love the game as well. Joel is also a huge Detroit sports fan as he grew up and lived in southeast Michigan his whole life until coming to South Carolina in 2021 to start practicing law.

Joel and his wife also started The Madison Lee Hynes Foundation in memory of their daughter who was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder called SIFD (Sideroblastic anaemia with B-cell immunodeficiency, periodic fever and developmental delay syndrome) in utero and unspeakably passed away only twelve hours after she was born. The Foundation’s mission is to provide financial assistance for medical costs to families in South Carolina effected by genetic disorders.

Joel stays active in professional-legal associations such as the South Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, which allows him to stay up to date on the latest developments and best practices in his areas of practice.
