Daryn R. Barker

Daryn R. Barker is an associate attorney at Barker Family Law in Mount Pleasant, where she provides legal support to clients all across South Carolina. She mainly focuses her practice on family law matters, including child custody, divorce and separation, child support and adoption. She represents individuals and families facing some of life’s most personal and challenging transitions, providing steady guidance and practical legal solutions tailored to each client’s situation.

Ms. Barker is committed to helping clients resolve family disputes with professionalism and compassion. She understands the emotional and financial challenges involved in domestic matters and works diligently to protect her clients’ rights and the best interests of their children. Whether negotiating settlements or advocating in court, she approaches each case with careful preparation and a results-driven mindset.

Ms. Barker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2012. She later went on to pursue her legal education at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. There, she built the foundation for her legal career and earned her Juris Doctor and a children’s law certificate in 2017.

During law school, Ms. Barker served as an editor of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal. She also gained valuable courtroom and advocacy experience as an extern to the Honorable Dorothy Mobley Jones of the Richland County Family Court and as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem, reinforcing her commitment to serving children and families in crisis.

Admitted to practice in South Carolina in 2017, Ms. Barker is an active member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division and the American Bar Association. She formerly served as chairwoman of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division from 2019 to 2021.
