Joseph R. Weston

Joseph R. Weston is a founding attorney at Weston Craig Anthony, LLC, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, bringing more than 35 years of experience in civil litigation, mediation and arbitration to his clients. A certified mediator and arbitrator in South Carolina, he draws on decades of courtroom experience to help parties efficiently and effectively resolve disputes. 

Mr. Weston has managed thousands of contested cases across diverse practice areas and has tried over 250 jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts of South Carolina. His breadth of knowledge in insurance law, personal injury, mediation, arbitration, commercial litigation and admiralty matters makes him a trusted advocate and neutral in even the most complex disputes.

Mr. Weston earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Temple University and his Juris Doctor from Rutgers  Law School. His legal scholarship includes co-authoring “An Analysis of Current Theories of Liability,” published in the South Carolina Law Review (1994). In addition to his practice, he serves as an adjunct instructor at the College of Charleston, where he teaches undergraduate business law and graduate-level corporate governance courses, sharing his practical insights with the next generation of legal and business professionals.

Admitted to practice in South Carolina, Mr. Weston is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
