Marie-Louise Ramsdale

Operating Ramsdale Family Law Firm from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, as the managing partner and principal attorney, Marie-Louise Ramsdale specializes in complex family law cases, focusing on divorce and custody litigation. She has been licensed to practice in South Carolina since 1996. 

Ms. Ramsdale can quickly identify the complexity of family law issues and provide trusted direction and feedback to her clients. As a certified mediator in South Carolina, she helps clients find creative solutions when none are apparent with her unique perspective.

Prior to graduating cum laude with her doctorate in law from Harvard Law School in 1993, Ms. Ramsdale completed her bachelor’s degree in 1990 at the University of South Carolina. She served as the president of the South Carolina Bar Foundation from 2015 to 2016 and on several committees of the South Carolina Bar. She has frequently lectured on family law topics at legal education seminars and conferences.

The Best Lawyers in America named her to the list of top attorneys in family law in Charleston, South Carolina, for both 2019 and 2020. As a volunteer attorney coach for the Moultrie Middle School mock trial team, she helped them win the state competition in 2016. Currently, she coaches the Wando High School Mock Trial team.
