Ian D. Maguire

Owner of Maguire Law Firm, Ian D. Maguire represents clients in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with services extending throughout the state. A personal injury attorney, he focuses on representing those who have been injured by another in motor vehicle accidents or on the job. He believes strongly that consumers deserve protection from unsafe products and that powerful insurance companies should provide fair treatment to individuals.

Mr. Maguire is admitted to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. At Le Moyne College, Mr. Maguire earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration before moving on to law school in Columbia. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and began practicing law in 1993.

An active member of the legal community, Mr. Maguire is the past Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section for the South Carolina Bar and Past President of the South Carolina Injured Workers' Association.  He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the South Carolina Bar and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association.   He presently serves as President of the Coastal Inn of Court, President of the BE2 Board(Early College High School) and as President of the Saint Andrew School Board.  To give back to his local community, he has also served in the past as the Chairman of the March of Dimes Chef Auction, as a board member of the Grand Strand Rape Crisis Center, on the Finance Committee of St. Andrew Catholic Church and as a regional director of the Horry County Special Olympics.
