Robert R. Sansbury, III

The founder of the Sansbury Law Firm, LLC, Robert R. Sansbury III focuses his practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. He works out of the firm’s office in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and represents people throughout Horry, Georgetown, Marion, the Pee Dee, and across the state.  Mr. Sansbury is admitted to practice in South Carolina and before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Sansbury has been able to obtain significant amounts of compensation through both jury awards and negotiated settlements for those of his clients who have been harmed as the result of the negligence or recklessness of other persons or companies. The types of personal injury cases that he has worked on throughout his career have involved defective products, premises liability, dog bites, motorcycle wrecks, truck accidents, and other motor vehicle crashes.

In addition to his personal injury practice, Mr. Sansbury has provided defense representation to licensed professionals who have been accused of wrongdoing. He has appeared before the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation on behalf of health care practitioners, physical and occupational therapists, and members of other regulated disciplines.  He is also a certified Circuit Court Mediator, and regularly mediates cases for other attorneys. 

A graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mr. Sansbury's distinguished career includes a coveted judicial clerkship in the South Carolina Circuit Court, and serving as a Senior Associate at a large, regional, insurance defense firm.  His excellent track record in all of his professional endeavors has earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 “Superb" peer-review rating through Avvo, among numerous other honors and awards.
