Robert R. Sansbury, III

Robert R. Sansbury III is a personal injury attorney and the founder of Sansbury Law Firm, LLC, based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He provides dedicated legal counsel to clients throughout the region, focusing his practice on complex civil litigation, including personal injury, car and motorcycle accidents, and slip-and-fall claims.

Mr. Sansbury brings nearly two decades of trial and litigation experience to his practice, offering strategic representation tailored to the unique needs of injury victims. Known for his thorough case preparation, he handles disputes across all state and federal courts in South Carolina, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. In addition to his courtroom advocacy, he is a certified Circuit Court Mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court, helping parties reach collaborative resolutions outside of formal litigation.

A native of Myrtle Beach, Mr. Sansbury completed his undergraduate studies at Clemson University, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2008.

During law school, Mr. Sansbury distinguished himself as a member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court and the Dean's List. He served as president of the Criminal Law Society, secretary of the student chapter of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers, and received the Judge Joseph F. Anderson Best Advocate award on the school’s mock trial team. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Roger M. Young of the South Carolina Circuit Court.
