Thomas H. Pope, III

As a trial practitioner for 48 years, Tom Pope has been representing primarily plaintiffs in cases involving negligence, products liability, insurance bad faith, estates, breach of fiduciary duty, small business minority oppression, class actions, and business litigation. He also represents landowners in condemnation cases; plaintiffs and defendants in professional negligence matters; and lawyers in disciplinary matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (Chair of S.C. Chapter 2015-2017), an advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, former President of the South Carolina Chapter of ABOTA, and a former member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court. He is a former South Carolina State Senator and is a former member of the South Carolina Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners. Pope also teaches trial advocacy in law schools in Eastern Europe.
