Robert C. Childs, III

A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Robert C. Childs III serves as a the Senior Partner at the Childs Law Firm, LLC, located in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. Focusing his practice on injuries, criminal defense, domestic litigation and government litigation, he is also a certified circuit court mediator authorized by the South Carolina Bar. 

Completing his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in marketing/finance from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, Mr. Childs went on to secure his Juris Doctor from the university’s Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 1983. After graduating as an attorney, he supervised a juvenile defense project in South Carolina’s 2nd Judicial Circuit, served as a public defender for Aiken County and was later appointed as an assistant circuit solicitor for the state’s 13th Judicial Circuit. 

Having worked as a county attorney for Greenville County as well, Mr. Childs was back at prosecuting cases as a deputy solicitor for South Carolina’s 13th Judicial Circuit. Garnering in-depth experience representing the state in various criminal cases and defending the public against many, he gained a thorough understanding of the workings of the judicial system and the monotonous proceedings that accompany litigation. 

With close to four decades of practice, Mr. Childs is appreciated by his clients for his promptness, communication skills and sense of responsibility.
