Attorney Profile

Brad J. Lee is an attorney at Beardsley Jensen & Lee, located in Rapid City, South Dakota. With a client base that stretches across the state as well as in Nebraska and Wyoming, he focuses his practice largely on workers' compensation matters, assisting people who have been injured on the job or who have developed an occupational disease and who are trying to obtain their rightful benefits under their employer's insurance coverage. In addition to helping with the preparation and timely submission of the required documentation, Mr. Lee also provides advocacy at subsequent appeals hearings and trials when a claim has been denied.

In addition, Mr. Lee has a personal injury and wrongful death practice, where he represents people who have suffered harm as a result of the negligence of other parties, and he has a strong background in civil rights, general civil litigation and employment law. His successful track record in all of these areas as well as his superb degree of ethics have earned him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, he has been named as the Young Lawyer of the Year by the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of South Dakota.

Majoring in business administration, Mr. Lee attended Jamestown College and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1999. He then pursued his legal education at the University of South Dakota School of Law and had a case note published in the South Dakota Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2003. After graduation, Mr. Lee clerked for a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota before entering private practice. Admitted to practice in South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wyoming, he is also admitted to practice before several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.

*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
