Alaric A. (Al) Henry

Alaric A. (Al) Henry is a seasoned attorney with Luther-Anderson, PLLP, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and has more than three decades of experience. Mr. Henry's practice areas are diverse, ranging from general tort liability defense to insurance coverage and from employment law to toxic torts. His practice also covers defense matters regarding construction accidents, nursing home abuse, product and professional liability, auto accidents, and premises liability. This breadth allows him to serve a wide range of clients with varied legal needs, always ensuring a tailored approach to each case.

With a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating cum laude in 1985 and a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University in 1991, Mr. Henry has cultivated a robust understanding of the legal landscape. Licensed to practice across all federal and state courts in Tennessee and Georgia, he brings a wealth of experience to his practice. 

Mr. Henry’s certifications include being a board-certified civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education. Recognized for his trial acumen, he has engaged in approximately 100 civil jury trials, earning an AV-Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.

Beyond his practice, Mr. Henry is deeply committed to legal education. He is an approved teaching facility by the National Business Institute and has taught continuing legal education classes in Tennessee, including courses on automobile case trials and insurance claims. His involvement extends to the CEU Institute, where he educates insurance professionals on legal liability and comparative negligence.

Mr. Henry’s professional affiliations are extensive. He is a member of several bar associations, including the State Bar of Georgia and the Tennessee Bar Association, and he holds memberships in groups such as the Litigation Counsel of America. His community involvement is notable as well, having served as president of the Chattanooga Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and contributing to various educational and church boards.
