Mr Wolford represents a diverse array of clients, including individual entrepreneurs and start-up businesses, compliance with state laws and municipal ordinances, providing contract drafting services, guidance on business law matters and risk management issues, in addition to debt collection legal services for consumer lenders, resolution of business disputes, general debt collection services, creditor representation when debtor(s) file bankruptcy, bank work, foreclosures and collection of deficiency balances, and landlord rights. Jeff assists and advises on a variety of matters, to include proper planning and appropriate documentation of transactions and activities. In addition to litigating cases in the courts of Tennessee and Georgia, Jeff represents clients during administrative hearings, and briefed and argued before the Tennessee Supreme Court for Workers’ Compensation. Additionally, Jeff serves in the Georgia Army National Guard as a Judge Advocate, assigned to the Office of the State Judge Advocate, in Marietta, Georgia.
Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Mr Wolford grew-up in Americus and Columbus, Georgia. Jeff played football, baseball, golf, and earned Eagle Scout. He attended the University of Georgia and graduated with a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Journalism (1991), and also received placement in the Honors Program with then Georgia Governor Joe Frank Harris. He served as vice-president of his college fraternity, Phi Delta Theta. Afterward, he returned home to Columbus and earned a second degree; BA in History (Academic Honor Society) from Columbus State University in 1992.
Mr Wolford served in the U.S. Army from OCT 1992- AUG ‘96. He graduated as the distinguished honor graduate of Advanced Individual Training Infantry Brigade, and as the honor graduate of his Airborne School class. He then served as an Infantry Paratrooper with the 1st Battalion–507th Parachute Infantry Regiment (“Down to Earth!”), Fort Benning, Georgia.
From 1993-’95, Jeff served with the 2nd BN–15th Infantry Regiment (“Can Do!”), 3rd Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. During this time in Germany he earned the Expert Infantry Badge and the German Schützenschnur Badge for weapons proficiency and learned basic German. Jeff deployed with the 3ID for 18 months to the Balkans where he served as a Squad Leader and wrote opinion articles for Stars and Stripes. He then served from 1995-’96 with the 1st Battalion–5th Cavalry Regiment (“Black Knights!”), 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, where he deployed to Kuwait in 1995 as part of the Army’s Rapid Response Joint Task Force. Jeff also deployed to Kuwait in 1995 and Germany and the Republic of Macedonia in 1994.
Upon discharge, Mr Wolford used Montgomery GI Bill benefits for law school and graduated from Mercer University’s School of Law (Moot Court). After the terrorist attacks of SEP 11, 2001, Jeff applied and accepted a commission in the U.S. Army Reserves. In addition to his full-time legal practice, he serves as a Judge Advocate in the Georgia Army National Guard.
Major Wolford deployed to Al Asad Airbase, Iraq in 2019 with the 201st Regional Support Group, Georgia Army National Guard. He deployed to Afghanistan during 2009-2010 with the 135th Joint Sustainment Command–Expeditionary, Alabama Army National Guard. As an additional duty while deployed to Afghanistan he became appointed as the sole Military Magistrate for all Civilian and Multi-Nation Military Partners and U.S. Joint Forces deployed to Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
